Airy looks at your photos, so here is exactly what happens to them: they stay on your iPhone.

Effective October 4, 2026

1. Who operates Airy

Airy is made and run by one person, not a company. For what this page describes, that person is the data controller. You can reach them at yusasarisoy@icloud.com.

2. The short version

  • Airy works without an account. There is no sign-in anywhere in the app.
  • Your photos and videos never leave your iPhone. Scanning, comparing and reviewing all happen on the device.
  • Airy contains no network code, no advertising, no analytics and no third party SDKs.
  • Airy collects no data and does not track you.

3. Photos and videos

Airy asks for access to your photo library so it can find copies and clutter. It looks at your photos and videos only on this iPhone, to compare them and to suggest what to review. Nothing is uploaded. Airy notes whether a photo contains a face, only so photos of people are not pre-selected for cleaning (you can turn this off in Settings). It does not recognise or store who anyone is.

If you allow limited access, Airy works with the photos you chose, and finds fewer results.

4. What stays on your iPhone

The results of a scan and your settings are kept on the iPhone so a later scan can be quicker. For each photo or video that is its library identifier, basic facts such as size and date, a fingerprint used to compare it with others, and simple measurements such as sharpness and whether it contains a face or text. It never includes the picture itself. All of it is deleted when you delete the app. While a first scan runs, iOS may let it continue after you leave the app; it still happens on the iPhone only. Airy has no way to read any of it remotely, because none of it is sent anywhere.

5. What leaves your iPhone

Nothing from Airy. If an original is stored in iCloud, Airy compares the photos using the copies already on the iPhone. Shrinking a large video or converting a Live Photo may need the original, and in that case iOS itself downloads it from your iCloud account. Airy does not receive it from anywhere other than your own library.

6. Deleting photos

Airy deletes through the standard iOS request, so iOS shows its own confirmation and deleted items go to Recently Deleted, where you can bring them back for 30 days.

7. The optional tip

If you leave a tip, the payment is handled entirely by Apple. Airy receives no payment details and the tip unlocks nothing.

8. If you write to support

When you email the support address, we receive your email address and the message you write. We use them only to answer you, and keep them as long as needed to resolve the matter.

9. Children

Airy does not collect personal information from anyone, children included.

10. Your rights

Because Airy holds nothing about you outside your own iPhone, the fastest way to remove everything is to delete the app. For anything about an email you sent to support, write to yusasarisoy@icloud.com and ask for it to be deleted.

11. Changes

If this policy changes, it will be updated here with a new effective date. Airy has no way to contact you itself, so check this page for the current version.
